From an email: "Toured up to the head of Storm Castle Creek today. Two to three feet of snow at the end of the road, facets, facets, facets to the ground. Didn't actually get any signs of instability on the 3.5ish mile skin up into the headwaters of Storm Castle Creek. Four to five feet of snow up at 9,000'. Pretty dense above about a 1' of facets on the ground. No signs of avalanches on the southern and western slopes of Mt. Bole and Divide Pk.

Austim Timm took this picture of the avalanche on Mt Fox yesterday. Located to the north of Cooke City, this avalanche released naturally on Saturday. Austin saw over 50 avalanches from the northern Gallatin Range to Cooke City with this one being the largest.
