Skiers in the northern Gallatin Range triggered this small slab avalanche on an east facing slope around 9000 ft. The slope was wind loaded but the underlying snowpack was weak and nearly isothermal. Photo A. Pohl
This slide occurred a few days ago in the Lionhead area near West Yellostone. It was likely snowmobile triggered and took place after this area received around a foot of snow. Photo M Werlinger
