15-16

This natural avalanche avalanche occurred in Argentina Bowl on Friday. It was likely triggered by a loose snow sluff or cornince fall. It appears to have a 3-4 foot crown which means it likely failded on facets near the ground. Photo. GNFAC

I triggered this avalanche from 75 feet away.  Widespread collapsing and cracking were Red Flags that the slopes were ripe for human triggered avalanches. We descended the SE Ridge to avoid steep slopes and still managed to remotely trigger this small slide. Photo: GNFAC
