This avalanche was triggered from a lower angle ridge about 30' away. It was 80' wide and ran over 700' vertical on a 38 degree slope through burnt timber. It broke on facets near the ground. Photo: A. Whitmore
This slide occurred on a south facing slope off Mt Abundance. The slide was human triggered and failed on facets near the ground. Although small, this side could have injured or buried a person. Photo: GNFAC
